FLAVOR FLAV!!!!

Hahahah its official folks...my life is a freakin sitcom. I've said it time and time again but no one believes me!!! So... let me tell you what happened to me!!

I went running and on my way home I tuned into da boxx...only to find out that Flavor Flav was here in H-town. Now some of you know that my MOM is a die-hard Flavor Flav fan......yah don't ask. So when i went to San Francisco I found a replica toy of Flavor and I bought it for my mom and had been meaning to blog about that because she hung it up in her office! hahahha ok ok so the idea comes to me to go to the office and take the toy off the wall and head up to do B-O-X radio station to get it signed..... so i'm rushing to do this.... and while I do this Flavor says that him and Mike Jones are about to head out to Sharpstown. and who lives in the ghetto??? I do I do!!

hahah so i'm thinking Sharpstown is a better chance for me. So after getting the toy, I go home and change and stuff and I head to Sharpstown which is literally 3 seconds from my apartment. So I park at Macy's and I go inside the main mall and decide to sit right in the Middle of Sharpstown so I can see all the entrances and I'm looking around for Flavor Flav which I know will be there within the next 15 minutes.

Those of you who been to Sharpstown know that all the ghettos were out so just picture some mexican girl sitting there in between the two escalators with a toy and a permanent marker. hahahha Then I saw the people on the escalators hanging over the sides and I knew that was him coming!! So i get up and i see a freakin crowd of security coming through and I'm looking for Flavor who turns out to be right in the middle of it all...he's short... and i'm all "FLAVOR!!! CAN U SIGN THIS FOR ME???!!!" and he sees me hold up my toy and he's all "Hey mama! I don't have time right now." And as if that wasn't a freakin shot down..Mike Jones had to put his two cents in and say "We don't have time for that right now" and so I must have had a look of dissappointment when I said "What? Whatever." and I turned to walk away and one of the Security Guards was like "Hey, thas a cool toy!" and i was like "yah right." still dissappointed and shit and so i start walking off...

ALL of a sudden I hear "Hey! Hey!" and I turn around and all of his security had stopped and they were yelling at me and waving at me to come back and i'm like "what?" and they were like "he said he'll sign it" and i'm like "really?!!!" hahahha so I go running back to Flavor Flav and he is all "hey girl!" and I gave him my toy and I said "It's for my mom!" and he goes "Really?! What is her name?" And I tell him and he is writing on the toy and i say "She is addicted to your show man. She loves it when you say 'woooow'" and he starts laughing and is all "wooooow!" hahahhah and everyone was laughing and so I took that picture of him signing the toy!!

I should have got one of Mike Jones as well but I was getting irritated that he was standing in the way hahahha move it local hahha and then Flavor invited me out to 2424 tanglewilde which was like some club and i was all "yah most def" hahahh but yeeaah.... if i dont have a VIP pass u wont see me there lol

and so i was walking beside him for a good minute cuz it took him awhile and he was all "thanks gurl!" hehehhe wow!! And then security let me out the circle and the bebe kids (insert Kramer jokes here lol) were all "hey she got that toy signed and a picture!" so my ass started running cuz i didnt want to get jumped. hahahha then I drove to my mom's place and showed her....

She was soo freakin happy! So i'm going to print out the picture and frame it for her as well. She ran upstairs to show Richard and then what does she do? She turns on the Tv to the Flavor Flav show which just happened to be on. hahahah luv it.

It says "Flavor Flav" ... To "Bing" lol (my mom's filipino nickname... bing without the bling.) lol.

Boy Meets Girl..Boy Loses Girl..Boy Marries Girl

Congratulations to my Cousin Chris and his new wife Yvonne. They married at St. Thomas University and then had the reception at City View Cafe in Downtown... very scenic spot. My dad also got dressed up attended the ceremony and the Mariachis stole the show. Any Mexican band that can take Frank Sinatra's "My Way" and do it their way... is good in my book! hahahha

Aww and these are my cousins I haven't seen in like 5 years. My older cousin Arthur and my cousin Tina and Veronica. Most of you have met them already =) Ok ok so I do want to say one thing which the Preacher said during Mass and I will leave you with this thought as well .....
"I don't wish them a placid life.... I do wish them an adventurous life with difficulties that will deepen their love". Cheers.

What's Da 411????

Awww ready....... so you wanna know the 411.... well in this case that was the time my ass got home from partying Friday Night at Aman's and then downtown with Abdullah and Zishan at Venue's.

hahahha damn good times..... I could seriously just end this blog with "you had to be there" but thats not fun reading...so let me lay the smack down.....

its always good when my brother passes out in his truck from a Keg that must have had his name on it. And that guy.... i dunno who that guy was helping Ernie blow chunks by just standing there and watching him while chomping on BBQ ribs... he was all "drink water man" hahahhah....freakin gross....serious issues.

Angie and Gail pimpin the kitchen.... Angie made me some bad-ass pina colada.. ONLY after making strawberry margarita and finishing it all without telling me!!! not cool. Gail and I were doing the White Russian Thang all night after my two bottles of Red Stripe.

Hooooray Beer!!! Thas da bottle right there! Cleverly modeled by Sergio de los Santos de los Juanes de los de Tijuana. hahahha Look you are beautiful now!!!!

Pranav and Gina.. both had a great buzz going by the time I took this pic. I think Pranav could have started speaking some Espanol with Gina at this point. hahahhaha

Gail and Aman.... before his "accident"

and "After".......Aman peeing on himself.... hahahha he "dropped" his drink although I gotta give him props though cuz he managed to spill it and I was the only one who saw beer wasted. wasted i tell you.

LoL. And after Aman's...... after taking an invitation from the guys who taught me "Mary lund Chuse" or however the hell u spell it... we landed here....This is Venue....located downtown on Main and Capitol.. on a serious note it is a nice spot to catch a live band and then have the DJ take over.... saw lots of peeps from Baylor here like Laurie and Adam and KDPhi
Why the lol u ask? That was just a funny ass experience with Dullah and Zishan....luved it....too many hilarious moments. I got my drink on as some people...no names (refer to above)...busted out with lame ass lines to land da women! and for kicks... guys.... the line "wanna have some fun cuz i have hairy balls.." no. but i'll still drink to that. hahahhaha

Turkey Day A Success.....

Nothing like good 'ol fashion beer to wash down that Turkey and all the stuffings right? Of course. Ernie, Haythem and I hit up Fox 'N Hound on Westheimer to do just that - and we met a new guy named Guy... straight from the UK and I can appreciate anyone who knows how to drink without being a buzz kill. I'm not even going to go into our conversations..... 2 snake bites later, 4 coronas, and 2 granny smith woodchucks..... yah u really don't wanna know...

Da Guy and I... notice the top of my Corona bottle and how I stay tru to my drink even if it is an english pub.....

Bottoms up!!! Those drinks were called Snake Bites.... Ernie said it tasted like Soy Sauce...that boy is too asian sometimes. I thought it was a realy smooth beer....not too bad but i didn't feel much of a "bite"!

In the U.S. and A

What Borat looks for in a girl:
1.
Blonde
2. No retardment in family
3. Ploughing experience (preferably one year)
4. Good physique
5. Tight, like a man's anus
6. Nice face
7. Non Jew
hahahahahhaah luv it!!! Now that was a funny movie. Talk about in your face actions and remarks. If you are open minded and laid back I would recommend this movie... if you take offense easily or don't find humor in making fun of other people... stay home. Cut and dry, no in betweens.
LOL. I watched it last night with Jamuna, Shine, Raja, Cheetos and Ernie and we were laughing our asses off!! Does that mean we're mean rude people? hahhahahah
Good times Good times...

Work It!!

Whew!! Look what I did!! This is part of the Nike/Ipod run and yesterday I went running at Rice University Track. I did 2.5 miles and my average pace was 10 minutes 8 seconds per mile!! Thats a huge improvement from 12 minutes 45 seconds when I first started out. I'm happy!! Can u even read those stats from that pic? It says i burned 331 calories, ran for 25 minutes and 32 seconds and I ran 2.5 miles......
I'm 5 pounds away from where I was at for Gail's wedding...although I had reached that goal before Jewell got here and ended up gaining it right back.... so back to working out it is for me =)
I feel great though, lots of energy and watching what I eat. I also made the switch to everything brown =) Brown rice, Wheat Bread, brown sugar.... hahahhah and lots and lots of water =) Anyone else have this ipod/nike thing? We can do running matches and stuff....
Ok maybe i'm a geek.

Chilenas!!

Hola! Este foto es yo con Christina y Marta. Fueron conmigo a Chile dos anos pasado..... and since the majority of you are like "what da hell did she just say" althought ur from Texas and didn't pass yo damn spanish class like you were SUPPOSE to... I said meet Christina and Marta. They both went with me to Chile two years ago for my Rotary Trip. Christina is the one in the Middle and the Director of the Holocaust Museum here in our famous museum district. Marta currently works for the Mayor's office has ties with everything political in Houston. I did the city hall invitations for her if you remember my old blog on that.....

Yah so if you want some seriously intellectual conversations and learn new things outside drinking and partying...these are the girls to chill with. Although..they do drink wine which is something we all picked up in Chile. Not sure if I mentioned it but for a whole month I was buzzed 3 times a day before every meal. In Chile you have to have wine before you eat, while you eat, and after you eat. The food was great!! I may have been buzzing but i know great food hahahhah

Topics from last night.... the movie Babel..... according to them it is a "wait until rental" cuz the director who also did 21 grams seems to follow the same scheme of things. Borat was another topic divided among the party that was there. One girl said she almost peed in her pants while Marta was like "I don't find humor in making fun of other people"... interesting debate which is driving me to the theater this weekend to check it out...and we all know what I think matters most. hahahhahah

Then we spoke about Israel with another chick named Sofia and how hard it is to GET OUT of the country to come back here. Israelis will drill your ass for two hours at the airport before letting you back in. Marta said my feelings when she said "Fu@# that. I need to get home and your ass better put me on that plane" hahahhahahha u really should hear the interrogation questions...freakin insane.

OH the whole reason for the dinner party last night is that Christina has been offered a position in Washington for the FEDERAL Holocaust Museum... how awesome is that? I'm happy for her..she will do well. She had a packing party although all I did was eat and watch hahahha i'm useless. Congratulations to her =) Que te vayas bien Christina!!!

one more...

I left a picture out!! hehehheheh ok ok its the last one for awhile....

Then Gail and Junior showed up and Junior dropped some knowledge on the pool table while Ernie and I were busy drinking up a freakin $100 tab. oops Afterwards we hit up Sherlocks and Chrome and Danced...or booty danced the night away to end up in Taco Cabana with a drunk man and some tacos. yessss....lots of fun..... aww i miss u jewell...  Posted by Picasa

Fly Me to the Moon....

Space Center is pretty cool.... last time I went was 10 yrs old and NASA has definately changed for the Better. Jewell was all over the exhibits and learned why Houston was called Space City. He didn't know we launched out of Florida which I thought was cute. We did the Tram Tour and Raja met us up and treated us out to lunch. I think Raja and Jewell are secret lovers by now...he's always in my game!! hahhaha We got back late like 7pm WHICH WE DID cuz we went to party at Muna's house and everyone clowned on us. Thanks guys...why da hell did we not take any pics??!! If someone did you better send it to me. Jewell thought everyone was very chill and nice and I really thank you guys for showing him a great time and laughing with him. He really truly enjoyed the company =)Game night was a blast and thanks to Jamuna nd Shine for hosting the party until 3:30 AM!! And thanks to me for makinga bad ass brisket...hahhaha daaamn conceited!! hahahhah in fact he had soo much fun he extended his plane ticket until Sunday.... or was that because of me... hahahhaa =)

Skybar and Belvederes

Wow... if you have not visited Skybar on Westheimer and Montrose... you have not appreciated the Houston Skyline... thanks to Raja for this idea. We went early for the free Salsa Lessons...which I should know already right? Wrong...but it was soo easy to pick up!! The music was great! Jewell liked the place but it wasnt really his cup of tea so we ended up hitting Belvedere's on Post Oak and Dancing until 2 am!  Posted by Picasa

Improv with Mike Robles

Jewell Arrived in the afternoon and I took him back to my work...stopping off at the taco stand for him to try some Mexican tacos. He loved the barbacoa tacos and the fajita tacos =) Then we went to check in to this hotel and afterwards went to catch Mike Robles at the Improv on I-10. He was freakin hilarious! Most of his jokes of course were Mexican jokes so Jewell got a kick out of that one. He said that joke in that video =) We went to the performance early because we had the dinner ticket as well and Jewell ordered the Prime Rib...which was delicious! who knew? Prime Rib and Spinach Dip... a definate must have if you go check out one of the shows. Afterwards we went to Spotlight where he got up on stage and serenaded me to "Private Dancer" by Tina Turner. Dammit i had the evidence of that on video and he deleted it...he knew I would put that on You Tube! hahahha he got up there and was like "I came all the way from Hawaii to visit that girl right there!" which was the LEAST of the embarassing things he said. Still was the sweetest move a guy has made for me =) hehehhehe supa cute. That was after 4 Diet Cokes and Bacardi 151..... thus the "kiss" pic hahhahahhaha

This Weekend....

Well look who it is!! Zubair!! Wow I haven't actually seen him in a long time. This is what happens when work gets in the way.. i believe work interrupts our social life. =) On Friday we met up at Pappasito's on Richmond and Hillcroft and ordered the Beef Fajita Platter for two. Awww how sweet right? hahhah mmmmm fajitas! That stuff was good and in between that and great conversation...there was also our psycho waitress. I really don't think she was working for a tip...some people use their jobs as an escape from conversing with their friends to telling your whole life stories to strangers you meet for 30 minutes. yah. By the end of dinner, Zubair and I had been pretty much convinced that the fudge thing on the dessert platter with cinammon icecream on top would be a great investment. Why? Because psycho waitress has the cook make it for her all the time...but not in the same way..she gets her name written in chocolate syrup. i wanted my shit done like that too dammit. hahhahahhah mmmm yah that was a yummy dessert. Thanks to Zubair for taking me out to dinner... i really appreciated his company and conversation. By the way..he is coming this Friday to "Game Night" at Jamuna's house. Everyone is invited to come over just call my cell and let me know cuz its been awhile since there has been a big gathering =)

An Intellectual Insight

Honestly I have not read many books since College. I think the University killed my interest in having to pick up anything to read. Since traveling and having to be on planes for 11 or more hours at a time...an ipod can only do so much. I've read DaVinci Code, Angels & Demons and just recently on my Hawaii trip I read Mitch Albom's "The Five People you Meet in Heaven". First thing to point out BIG PRINT!! yesss hahhahah like the books you use to read in middle school. plus ten points. I want to give you my insight into this book though.. just because I'm not all about partying and traveling although my blog does a great job reflecting this perspective.

I think some people get handed situations in life which alter your thoughts and plans of how your life should be lived. Did I think I would be where I am after graduating from Baylor... honestly no. Do I have regrets... no. My life is going as planned, just not how I planned. I've had to grow up a little faster than I would like but we all make adjustments. I can relate to this book because it is about a guy named Eddie who had plans of his own... and well... he ends up having to take after his father's footsteps and carry on a career which was pretty much handed down to him. As much as he tries to get out of this career and hope for bigger and better things... it just doesnt happen for him. One day..the day we all know will come... he passes on his 83rd birthday. The book then pulls you along this journey where the concept of Heaven is not this lush Garden of Eden...instead it consists of 5 people. These 5 people you have met sometime in your lifetime and they changed your path or you changed theirs. Have you ever thought about that? After this book you will contemplate on who is your "top 5" lol like the Tmobile commercial. Very interesting though..oh and be ready to laugh and cry at the same time. I truly believe I cross peoples path for a reason and vice versa. I hope that I leave the positive imprint which motivates me to be who I am today. This is a book you should go pick up for weekend reading or if you are feeling a little down and out.
