Fly Me to the Moon....

Space Center is pretty cool.... last time I went was 10 yrs old and NASA has definately changed for the Better. Jewell was all over the exhibits and learned why Houston was called Space City. He didn't know we launched out of Florida which I thought was cute. We did the Tram Tour and Raja met us up and treated us out to lunch. I think Raja and Jewell are secret lovers by now...he's always in my game!! hahhaha We got back late like 7pm WHICH WE DID cuz we went to party at Muna's house and everyone clowned on us. Thanks guys...why da hell did we not take any pics??!! If someone did you better send it to me. Jewell thought everyone was very chill and nice and I really thank you guys for showing him a great time and laughing with him. He really truly enjoyed the company =)Game night was a blast and thanks to Jamuna nd Shine for hosting the party until 3:30 AM!! And thanks to me for makinga bad ass brisket...hahhaha daaamn conceited!! hahahhah in fact he had soo much fun he extended his plane ticket until Sunday.... or was that because of me... hahahhaa =)

Skybar and Belvederes

Wow... if you have not visited Skybar on Westheimer and Montrose... you have not appreciated the Houston Skyline... thanks to Raja for this idea. We went early for the free Salsa Lessons...which I should know already right? Wrong...but it was soo easy to pick up!! The music was great! Jewell liked the place but it wasnt really his cup of tea so we ended up hitting Belvedere's on Post Oak and Dancing until 2 am!  Posted by Picasa

Improv with Mike Robles

Jewell Arrived in the afternoon and I took him back to my work...stopping off at the taco stand for him to try some Mexican tacos. He loved the barbacoa tacos and the fajita tacos =) Then we went to check in to this hotel and afterwards went to catch Mike Robles at the Improv on I-10. He was freakin hilarious! Most of his jokes of course were Mexican jokes so Jewell got a kick out of that one. He said that joke in that video =) We went to the performance early because we had the dinner ticket as well and Jewell ordered the Prime Rib...which was delicious! who knew? Prime Rib and Spinach Dip... a definate must have if you go check out one of the shows. Afterwards we went to Spotlight where he got up on stage and serenaded me to "Private Dancer" by Tina Turner. Dammit i had the evidence of that on video and he deleted it...he knew I would put that on You Tube! hahahha he got up there and was like "I came all the way from Hawaii to visit that girl right there!" which was the LEAST of the embarassing things he said. Still was the sweetest move a guy has made for me =) hehehhehe supa cute. That was after 4 Diet Cokes and Bacardi 151..... thus the "kiss" pic hahhahahhaha

This Weekend....

Well look who it is!! Zubair!! Wow I haven't actually seen him in a long time. This is what happens when work gets in the way.. i believe work interrupts our social life. =) On Friday we met up at Pappasito's on Richmond and Hillcroft and ordered the Beef Fajita Platter for two. Awww how sweet right? hahhah mmmmm fajitas! That stuff was good and in between that and great conversation...there was also our psycho waitress. I really don't think she was working for a tip...some people use their jobs as an escape from conversing with their friends to telling your whole life stories to strangers you meet for 30 minutes. yah. By the end of dinner, Zubair and I had been pretty much convinced that the fudge thing on the dessert platter with cinammon icecream on top would be a great investment. Why? Because psycho waitress has the cook make it for her all the time...but not in the same way..she gets her name written in chocolate syrup. i wanted my shit done like that too dammit. hahhahahhah mmmm yah that was a yummy dessert. Thanks to Zubair for taking me out to dinner... i really appreciated his company and conversation. By the way..he is coming this Friday to "Game Night" at Jamuna's house. Everyone is invited to come over just call my cell and let me know cuz its been awhile since there has been a big gathering =)

An Intellectual Insight

Honestly I have not read many books since College. I think the University killed my interest in having to pick up anything to read. Since traveling and having to be on planes for 11 or more hours at a time...an ipod can only do so much. I've read DaVinci Code, Angels & Demons and just recently on my Hawaii trip I read Mitch Albom's "The Five People you Meet in Heaven". First thing to point out BIG PRINT!! yesss hahhahah like the books you use to read in middle school. plus ten points. I want to give you my insight into this book though.. just because I'm not all about partying and traveling although my blog does a great job reflecting this perspective.

I think some people get handed situations in life which alter your thoughts and plans of how your life should be lived. Did I think I would be where I am after graduating from Baylor... honestly no. Do I have regrets... no. My life is going as planned, just not how I planned. I've had to grow up a little faster than I would like but we all make adjustments. I can relate to this book because it is about a guy named Eddie who had plans of his own... and well... he ends up having to take after his father's footsteps and carry on a career which was pretty much handed down to him. As much as he tries to get out of this career and hope for bigger and better things... it just doesnt happen for him. One day..the day we all know will come... he passes on his 83rd birthday. The book then pulls you along this journey where the concept of Heaven is not this lush Garden of Eden...instead it consists of 5 people. These 5 people you have met sometime in your lifetime and they changed your path or you changed theirs. Have you ever thought about that? After this book you will contemplate on who is your "top 5" lol like the Tmobile commercial. Very interesting though..oh and be ready to laugh and cry at the same time. I truly believe I cross peoples path for a reason and vice versa. I hope that I leave the positive imprint which motivates me to be who I am today. This is a book you should go pick up for weekend reading or if you are feeling a little down and out.

San Franciscan Takedown!!

Whatcha know about golden gate? Whatcha know about Castro? Whatcha know about hot gay guys that u love to hate? San Francisco is where I stay! hahahhha ur ghetto. Wow...loved it!!! I get off the plane, see Mike and i think that's the only normal thing that happened the whole weekend!! cuz after that we hit up downtown and i walked 3 miles in heels cuz Mike and I didnt know where da hell we were going =) fun times... we finally hit up Castro which is the main gay spot in the US and went bar hopping. That was soooo funny and lots of fun. They jam Beyonce like nobody's business and I had gay guys coming up to dance with me all night long - trust me not bragging rights yet can I say they know how to dance. I didnt get that whole thing ..supposedly they love dancing with straight girls cuz there isnt any expectations!! And its safe for me cuz i don't need to worry about drama ... anyways my friends that night were Mojito, Corona and Long Island. All which made us pull over on the highway for a pit stop and made me crash out at 4am!! Mike loved it! hahah seriously its been a loong time since we had chilled and 5 years since i've had a hangover...and i wouldn't have had it any other way! Then Saturday Mike took me to the Beach, Golden Gate Bridge and Fisherman's Wharf. and we shopped, shopped, shopped and walked from 10am until 10pm. Then straight to the Halloween Party which was NUTZ. literally. haaaaaaaahahha 3 words: Gay men, Deborah Cox and "Nobody's suppose to be here"... need i say more??? U love our costumes? hahah stayed at party until 3 am went home to get ready and he dropped me off at airport at 4am!! now thats a bad ass weekend right there =) Thanks a million Mike!!! Miss u!

Girls Night Out!

Yups it was about that time... once a month we do our Girls Day Out and this time we met up at Ruggles Cafe in Rice Village. Mmmmmm the desserts were awesome..tres leches and Macadamia Pie...good stuff. That's what we call Monthly splurging in action!! Can i just say...for a cafe that was a really nice joint. We all had a bowl of soup and half a sandwhich (duh needed to leave room for dessert!!) and i think that was the best "healthy" meal i've had. Definately recommend it if you get a chance. Anyways, the girls are doing great =) Muna came back from India and shared her stories and Suzanne came back from windy Chicago with a medal from her run (i will put that pic up) and although Gail felt like she didn't come to the table with anything to share.... her insights into strip joints and relationships made us laugh our asses off. greeeeat times!! These ladies are my stress reliever for real... couldn't make it without 'em! =)

Jet laaaaaaag

wow..seriously...sleepy... you know its only a five hour difference but i'm not able to get to bed at 9,10,11-2am or 5am for that matter. hahahha sheesh. yah i need to go in the sun and probably run until I get tired. So hey, this is my beach pictures.... rochelle and I were laying out on a beach in Maui...it was superhot and so was the sand so we had to buy beach mats and an umbrella. Well the guy set the umbrella up pretty far from the beach. All i know is I was laying down and all of a sudden my feet was in water so i woke up panicked to see that the wave had come up...only to be welcomed by the next giant ola (hahah some espanol for you)yah a monsterous wave that came and wiped us out. i'm talking about my camera and all my crap went flying into the beach!! It was insane. haha so everyone was helping us grab our stuff out of the water...and can i just say... beaches in Hawaii don't play. The second I stepped into that water that current grabbed my ass and threw me around like a rag doll! I could not stand up for the life of me and was getting sand burn on my butt! hahahhaha i was laughing so hard yet really scared and i thought i had pretty great swimming skillz but yeah...no. I think it took me a good 10 minutes to wrestle with the waves before I could get up...really scary. i still wish i was back there sleeping on the beach....

Hawaii as we arrived....

Love it!! Since we have arrived we have been walking, talking, eating, rarely sleeping, clubbing, laughing, singing, and taken pictures like you wouldn't believe. We visited Pearl Harbor, today we did a three mile trek to the top of Diamonhead Crater...breathtaking views...pics will be up soon. We also shopped at a fleamarket, high-dollar stores in Waikiki, and from any street vendor we have found. We did a submarine tour this morning and I saw my first sea turtle!! Can we say "Dude!!" hahhah The weather is hot hot here like houston minus the humidty. I've learned the word "Mahalo" which means "thank you" so there...i'm native. hahhahah tomorrow is our last day here in waikiki, oahu and then its off to Maui!!! Stay tuned folks for the great takover =)

Delauney, Mateo, and Meed sighted at the Galleria Posted by Picasa

Galleria

My Saturday was spent at the Galleria. I don’t usually shop there cuz I dont need all the high dolla stuff if it is at my local mall, Walmart or Target. U know? Anyways.....Rochelle and I spent half the day there and freakin got all the SALES in the world. She also bought the Nike+ shoes and got two bags of socks, and two can of cleaner stuff for her shoes all for $108!! That was suppose the be the price of the shoe itself!!Yah then we got some swimsuits for like $40 and I bought this shirt here at the GAP for $22. Like it? They freakin have blue buttons in the dressing room now to get a hold of an associate. How nice is that?! Although i could be the last one to know these things...hahahha...Then we went to Charlotte Russe which is having a buy one get another for 50% off. I was busy busy shopping then Rochelle comes back and says “put those clothes down and come outside!” I was like “what da hell for??” only to find out that it was Meed and his family! Yay!! awww Mateo is super cute. He’s two years old now and as Meed says “he can speak in sentences!” hehehhe Yah with my non exposure to kids I told him to give me a high-five and my hand happened to be way up where it was no where possible for him reach hahahhahahha idiot. Meed and family are doing well and are planning on having 5 more kids!!! (all boys says Meed) hahahha Now that is some serious shopping.
