Eid is a Day of Harvest : God gives infinitely to those who are sincerely concerned with the general welfare of their fellow believers.
Eid is a Day of Forgiveness : When Muslims assemble in the congregation of the Day, they whole-heartedly pray for forgiveness and strength in faith. And God has assured those who approach Him with sincerity of His mercy and forgiveness.
Eid is a Day of Peace : When a Muslim establishes peace within his heart by obeying the Law of God and leading a disciplinary life, he has certainly concluded a most invioble treaty of peace with God.

wondering when my someday will begin...

How Could An Angel Break My Heart
Toni Braxton & Baby Face

I heard he sang a lullaby
I heard he sang it from his heart
When I found out thought I would die
Because that lullaby was mine
I heard he sealed it with a kiss
He gently kissed her cherry lips
I found that so hard to believe
Because his kiss belonged to me

How could an angel break my heart
Why didn't he catch my falling star
I wished I didn't wish so hard
Maybe I wished our love apart
How could an angel break my heart

I heard her face was white as rain
(Your face is white as rain)
Soft as a rose that blooms in May
(Soft as a rose in May)
He keeps her picture in a frame
(I keep your picture)
And when he sleeps he calls her name
(I only call out your name)
I wonder if she makes him smile
(She doesn't make me smile)
The way he used to smile at me
(I only smile at you)
I hope she doesn't make him laugh
(She doesn't make me laugh)
Because his laugh belongs to me
(My laugh belongs to you)

How could an angel break my heart
(You are my heart)
Why didn't he catch my falling star
(I will catch your star)
I wished I didn't wish so hard
(Don't wish so hard)
Maybe I wished our love apart
(Love falls apart)
How could an angel break my heart
(Your tender heart)

Oh (My love)
My (I know that)
Soul (I know your)
Is (Is dying)
Dying (I know your soul is crying)
It's crying (I know that
you've been dying)
I'm trying (Trying)
To understand
Please help me (Please help me)

How could an angel break my heart
(I'd never break your heart)
Why didn't he catch my falling star
(I'd catch your falling star)
I wished I didn't wish so hard
(You never wished too hard)
Maybe I wished our love apart
(We're not apart)
How could an angel break my heart
(Oooh yeah)

Ouch.

So below is a poem sent to me by JV... although I think it would be better named "harsh reality"or "it is your fault" or "quit complaining biatch". lol...Still a nice flow of words...

"when it's gone"

you never miss something until it's gone
when it feels so wrong, waited too long
when it's too late, way over the due date
can't change the past, unable to make it last
this ain't a movie, don't mean to tell u rudely
u won't get it back, ain't funny no laugh
trackending won't be a kiss, no sudden twist
its a cold hard reality, so kneel, pray to your deity
don't take it for granted, just because it was handed
or fell into your lap, see, that's how we fall for the trap
thinking it will always be there, it was agreed and made clear
but never paid considerate attention, even if it wasn't ur deliberate intention
stinging loss you'll quietly feel, not sudden, eventually it'll be real
wishing it was a nightmare, a dream, hoping it's not what it seems
life only has one take, no reshoots, so think of decisions you make
no special effects to hide the blemish, even the smallest fault you must cherish
so if you ever discover it, don't wait till its late you'll never recover it

Wake up.

Maverick turn yo candy ass around and BE A MAAAAN lolz... the nerve!! all of a sudden you are going to play hero to the economy?! Seems like someone is scared of debates with Obama, maybe you have to prepare for it as well as Palin did for her interview with Charles Gibson. Then again, she can see Russia from Alaska ...so you probably still see yourself in 4 years....

Question: What da hell is going on????!!!

America....America...god shed his grace on thee...And crown thy good .....with brotherhood...From sea to shining sea....

Now I'm not sure about your perspective on issues as of late, yet if the President of Iran says - "American empire in the world is reaching the end of its road, and its next rulers must limit their interference to their own borders" - I would pretty much get ready for a checkmate. These last 8 years have been damaging and a spiraling path downwards in all structure and against the beliefs of what America was built on. Can you imagine...2008..when we were suppose to be all space cars and technology and smart smart smart..... if this was the case, why are the critics stating we haven't seen times like these since the Great Depression!!! what??! Could the republicans have been so greedy, so careless, so oblivious to our "brotherhood" with countries that they ended up bringing the "empire" down in 8 years time? Incredible.

North Korea is restarting its nuclear program, Iran won't cease from their program, Russia is not ready to be bossed around about its reasons on invading Georgia, China backs Russia and leaves the difficulty in the UN Security Council, and you know what... and this is exactly what I've been saying for years in explaining the difference among people... if you are not cultured, aware of your fellow man and his beliefs and practice, if you do not take the time to learn what is "different" from your traditions and views... then you will NOT understand anyone who is not like you. and if you have this mentality and you enter public office and all of a sudden need to interact within a global arena, you will fail with your one-sided views and your inability to be diplomatic and offer alternative solutions. I say this because the countries of Iran for example. Yes Ahmadinejad is President, yet he is also a puppet. The real man behind the curtain is a man named Ali is who is the Ayatollah of Iran which goes way back into a history between suni and shi'a muslims... in a way for westerners to understand you could say he is kind of like the pope yet with way more of a higher standing and power. Basically whatever he says goes, period. If he says war, then war it is. So to understand and get this scope of what a war with Iran would entail.. because the religion factor will drive this so called world war 3 and if you dont think that's what is at stake, you better stop watching American Idol, The Simpsons, etc and pick up a book and research.
Why did we go into Iraq? Supposed weapons of destructions right? Recall that Bush was told there was no evidence of this before hand, yet politics put its dirty hand in the cookie jar and made the public believe that yes there is weapons of mass destruction. wow so then what happens? we lose millions in money, lost lives of our troops and surprise..no weapons found. Now lets look at Iran. The same situation! they are working on a peaceful nuclear energy program which you CAN do as long as the "watchdog" agency is allowed to check everything out. They say Iran does not have any harmful programs...yet the US insists again on this. This is why Russia is saying "no, we are not going to have another Iraq". make sense?

Ok so Bush says...no, we are going to war because you are dealing with programs of mass destruction and you are a supposrtive country of the terrorist. Ok now, you have Iran who wants to rid Israel, and well guess what Syria doesn't like Israel either and who is in Syria? You have Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, and u know the crazy North Korea will provide the nuclear arms we are all afraid to aid them and China and Russia will be against us to stop the United States from our little power trip and destruction to the world economy. You have to be careful with the word "terrorist". In the views of Hezbollah, Hamas, you have to understand these are people who are protecting their country as well from Israelis who feel they have the right to just claim whatever land they want. Its not any different from Americans stepping on another soil and doing the same thing or Georgians doing the same thing.

Side One: Israel, the United States, Britain, France and Germany
Side Two: Iran, Russia, China, Syria and North Korea

This is the fight in the holy land. Be ready, know what you stand for because these are the times we have always spoke of. The disasters, plagues, destruction of humanity.... you want to vote Mcain this is what will continue. Obama has already said he will work all other forms of diplomacy to death to avoid war yet not ruling out war... thats better than just going into office and saying "World War III". and yes, i feel comfortable with Palin controlling this situation. Traveled once in her life. culture people, culture. I am my brother's keeper...

Busy Bee

Dear Blog,

so last night was another night out with da boys. or night in, cuz we watched the season premier of heroes. It was me, Dullah, Aman, Zubair, Zishan, Robin, and AK. Now did i like the 2 hour episode of heroes... eh..... well i mean there is just too much goin on, i'm pretty much lost in the character development since i missed part of last season. It still captures my attention, I just have to get with the story line again...

my disclaimer: THE FOLLOWING IS FOR GEEKS ONLY.....

today was the big Adobe CS4 debut !!!!! oh daaaaaaaaamn creative suite 4 kicks ass... In Dreamweaver you have the web engine built INSIDE the application to immediately see the results and the use of Ajax has finally been kicked up a notch! In Illustrator, you can work with several artboards on one page! not to mention the ease between switching files between illustrator, flash, and Indesign. I sat through the broadcast which literally was jaw dropping. This is not just a "tweak" to CS3, this is some serious serious development. and guess what folks??? My job is buying the MASTER COLLECTION!! wooooooooooooooooooot!!! $2,500 for it.... luv it! just luv it!! man, i can't wait until its in my hands!!!!! i'm gonna use that thing and become a sik sik developer.... photoshop alone seems endless....wow....just wow.....

On another note, I created this per the request of our company's president. I'm going to research about this Jewish holiday and actually the fasting in Islam and Catholicism - it will be my next blog. I just wanted to show you the design I created because he was very pleased since many people complimented him for it through email. yays!! I mean i only did it in 20 minutes with no idea what this holiday is about lolz.... i just found out that bread, apples, and honey were a big thing... my next blog is gonna be intellectual....lol...for all those tired of hearing me talk my ghetto-ness about my daily activities hahahha whatever, im keeping busy. In fact, i'm about to jump on killa bee and head out to Aman's place... we are watching the new Michael Moore film which comes out online today..its called SLACKER. http://slackeruprising.com/ watch the documentary. Then on Friday we are watching Barack kick Mcain's Maverick ass on foreign policy and national security... served with a side of brisket and queso.... yays!

on another note, i just want to say i have mad luv for my boys. i think i would be a total mess right now if i didnt have their company. thanks for keeping me grounded...and laughing...always laughing...

First Day of Fall ...

Listen Up Class....
the correct term for the First Day of Fall is "Autumnal Equinox". Que? What u say?

Well its when the sun is at 0° 00' which means daytime and nighttime are nearly the same amounts of time. On this day, we will have 12 hours of daylight.

Now, will I see all 12 hours???? No. In fact, here in my IT department we like to work with the lights off...so um 8 hours of work in the dark... then step outside... great i get to see 4 hours of sunlight... and thanks to Ike, I could frolic in the leaves that are all over the roads and sidewalks, hell i could jump into a pile of trees instead.... lol....

So Ike is over. finished playing evacuee...althought not to make light of it because seriously some people are without homes and even when you drive on 610 the signs says "Galveston closed off to the public" which is pretty devastating. I mean, i think the water is ugly yet I do love to go fishing on those piers out there.... bummer....

Power outage. yah u know it was kinda rough, nothing too crazy. We from Texas though, we can BBQ up a meal, no need for power. Cold showers on the other hand.. not cool..... On the up up up side... Houston is hands down a very close knit supportive community. Mayor Bill White deserves a standing ovation for being on top of the game and the way the city has recovered in just a week is truly amazing. I am a Houstonite...lol or Houstonian... people are just very very laid back here and I love that.

Oh so last night we had iftar at Ridwan's place. Then we watched the Dallas/Packers game and then we all decided to play Pictionary. hahahhah Girls vs Guys and the guys won both times, although I wont mention the crazy cheating goin on lol I will mention Sofia's lovely drawing which I have recreated here... this is what she drew:

no no, it did look exactly as scrappy as this rendition. hahahha so the three lines on top means it is three words...ok fine... and mind you, during this game if you are the one drawing, you cannot talk to your teamates, they have to guess the words. So she draws the whale and i guess it and she acknowledges that part is correct... here is where it gets a little strange.... she draws that man there holding up a sign... so we are all "Protest?!" "Protest animals?" "Whale watching?!" hahahha just yelling out all sorts of stuff... then she draws that other object you see on your left... a stop sign... so now we are all "Stop!" and Sofia is getting all excited as the drawer nodding her head that we are on the right track...so we are all "Stop! Whales! ??? Stop Watching Whales?! Stop killing Whales?!!" and finally we yell "Stop the Whales!!" haaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahhah and she is all "Yesssssssssss!! that's it!!!" and so at that moment i was slightly feeling confused because that phrase didnt make sense to me. The category was action and why would you stop whales?? hahha well then the guys were like "no! that's not right, you guys are wrong!" and Sofia is like, "Nah ah!! That was the word!!!" and by this time ...the timer has run out. Then Aman yells at Sofia "No u dummy! It was "Save the Whales!!" OMG. hahahhahahha i died laughing!!! and then Dullah pointed out "and why would you draw a man on his sign that he is holding????" hahahhahahahhahahha so we were all dying of laughter and i had to throw in "ur drawing BLOWS." hahahhahahhahahahhahah i luv it. that was too much fun. heehee... ok that was my game night last night with my old skool peeps. yays!

Have a lovely cool fall day. Smile, it just makes things better despite all the BS.. lolz......

My work has taken very good care of my father and I. They are giving all employees $1000 for inconvenience due to the storm. In addition, they let me take showers and cook here. Very lucky to work for such a company.

Here is a link to awesome awesome pictures taken by another houstonian http://flickr.com/photos/kaozrider/sets/72157607278391351/

As fore FEMA... i dont have high regards for them at all. I stood in line for ice and water on hillcroft yesterday for over two hours... the supposed "hot meal" box was a bag of peanuts and two andes mint candy. ????? what da hell? am i on an airplane or something??? and for the record no one has come to the heights at all for disaster relief. No gas, no stores, no electricity at all, they need to send food out this way. I have been sharing food with my neighbors for about 3 days now. we are all doing fine yet gas is about to be a major concern cuz i dont have enough to leave the heights area. My brother has been ordering pizza in sugar land and bringing it to us. lolz... sort of like a weird camping trip....

yIkes!

I'm literally living in my work office. my boss came to get me out of my apartment and now i'm at work which is 5 blocks away and we are running on a generator. There is no AC though and at my apartments I am without water and electricity. My dad and are doing fine, thanks to God. Hope all is well with friends and family. These are pictures outside my apartment and in my neighborhood. The bayou has risen a good 20 feet so just imagine how much water came through. normally if you look at the bayou from that viewpoint you would be scared of heights because the bottom would be waaaaaay lower than what it looks right now. I have no way out of this area since all the streets are flooded. my boss found a shortcut through a neighborhood to get to rice village from here so I will follow him in awhile to look for some food across town.

I'm at i-10 and TC Jester, the exact spot where the eye passed through upon landfall. My apartment was shaking like an earthquake and it caused a 4 building fire alarm to start blaring for about one and a half hours. My neighbors have all been helping each other which is exactly what seperates Houstonians from the rest of America. You will not found this kind of southern hospitality anywhere in the U.S.A.

Update on my killa bee scooter... again my neighbor let me put it in his garage so it is safe and sound! and zero my puppy is safe as well =) My mom and Richard are in Arkansas where they got the aftermath and tornados but are doing fine and Ernie is here fine as well.

ok this picture below i found on the internet to see if i could find you a before shot of White Oak bayou... this is what it is SUPPOSE to look like and you can see in my picture above of the bayou that it totally overflowed the cement and the hilly grass side and at one point was out on the streets but receded back into the bayou

Lick, Taste or Suck??

China's impressive haul of gold medals at the Beijing Olympics was tarnished somewhat today when it was revealed that "abnormally high levels of lead" were found in the first-place medallions.
The medals, which were supposed to be made entirely of gold, were instead found to be composed of 99% lead alloy and coated with a gold-colored lead-based paint.
The shocking revelations roiled the Olympic complex today and sent officials looking for answers from the Chinese manufacturer of the medals, the Wuhan One Hundred Percent Gold Medal Corporation.
"We are trying to determine how exactly so much lead got into those gold medals," said a spokesman for Wuhan, China's largest exporter of gold medals. "Until we do, we are urging all first-place athletes not to lick, taste or suck on their medals."

lolz.... nice..... on another note...

Think about what you ate this morning.
Maybe it was a bagel, or a bowl of cereal to go along with that cup of coffee.
Now compare that to what Olympic gold medalist and swimming sensation Michael Phelps eats in the morning, and you might feel a little malnourished:

— three fried egg sandwiches with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, fried onions, and mayo— one five-egg omelets— a bowl of grits— three slices of French toast with powdered sugar— three chocolate chip pancakes— two cups of coffee

Altogether, Phelps consumes 12,000 calories a day while in training. Compared to the 2,500-3,000 calories a day the U.S. Food and Drug Administration recommends for men depending on age and activity level, Phelps diet seems outrageous.
But it is, in fact, a completely normal diet for an Olympic athlete like Phelps, said Tanya Zuckerbrot, a nutritionist and author of “The F-Factor.”
“Look at his picture, he’s completely ripped,” Zuckerbrot told FOXNews.com. “He is clearly burning that many calories — if he wasn’t, he would look chubby.”
Zuckerbrot said Phelps probably doesn’t eat that many calories during his off-training season as his high-fat, high-carbohydrate diet would be dangerous to his health.
“It’s interesting, if he wasn’t eating that many calories, he wouldn’t be winning, because he wouldn’t have the energy,” Zuckerbrot said. “The carbs is what the body uses for energy. You have to give the body glucose to fuel it. That’s why people on the Atkins diet (an all-protein diet) can’t work-out.”
For lunch, Phelps drinks 1,000 calories worth of energy drinks, one pound of pasta with tomato sauce and two large ham and cheese sandwiches (with mayo) on white bread.
For dinner, Phelps’ meal consists of six to eight slices of pizza, another pound of pasta with tomato sauce, and 1,000 calories of energy drinks.
These meals are important, Zuckerbrot said, because the breads and pasta are made up of refined carbohydrates, which digests quickly and give him instant energy.
Zuckerbrot said she would not recommend Phelps’ diet to the average person who hopes to have a high intensity work out at the gym for an hour, but then sit at their desk all day.
“This is a diet created for an Olympic performer,” she said. “Clearly with 11 medals under his belt, it’s working.”

Im gonna start training to be an Olympian. lol.

Take Me Away..A Sweet Escape...

A Secret Place...for better days..
Location: My secret hiding place to ponder
When: Saturday.06.19.08

I woke up to take my photography class this morning taught by Kathy Adams Clark. Massive, massive information i learned!! I mean the drive behind the motivation was found in this 6 hour class...so much so that I decided to go straight to taking pictures afterwards.
I went to my precious spot like the smeagle creature I am... and peered into the man-made lake. after looking at something that i thought was horrific and finding out that it was my reflection in the water (lol) i decided to just walk around the lake. I made this friend first:
Fearless Freddy froggy. now fearless freddy froggy had many friends chillin with him on that block but they all jumped in the water when they saw me... not him. I waited for his friends to come back..i was laying on my tummy when i took this pic and instead you could see the water ripple where the others were to just waiting for me to leave so they could jump out. I honestly think i annoyed the shiii out of these frogs... i could only compare it to the annoyance i cause my ex lol...they just wanted to chill and i was all up in their personal space. ribbit. hahahha everyone loves me i dont care. tsk..tsk..
so i keep walking, walking, walking... and i meet my friend #2
Clingy Chicharra. What is a Chicharra? Well boys and girls, not only am i equipped with a camera, i keep you in touch with your mother-nature.... and dont think you can find it on wikipedia....A chicharra is an insect that makes those loud noises in dry areas..such as memorial park..where u hear this real loud rattlesnake type sound... yah...that noise is caused by a bunch of these critters on the trees and in the grass. Eventually it grows wings and has irradescent colors..really interesting. I have to buy a $1200 lens in order to take close enough pictures of these guys at a 300f4 stop... its ok if u dont know what that means...photog talk... (sticks nose up in the air..lol)
alright so here I am poking around trees and poking around lakes in my secret spot in houston. The irony of it all is that this location is right on westheimer, the busiest street in houston. How da hell is that peaceful? I've yet to solve that mystery, but it just is. Its a wide nice man-made lake as seen here:
It would be a nice spot for a picnic or to stroll along with someone. I might also add that I released my little turtle i found about 6 years ago into these waters... his name is Squirtle. My biggest fear is that he mutated into a teenage mutant ninja... lolz... im sure I'll catch him there at another time. Last time I saw him was two years ago...
Ok so back to poking around.....poke...poke... lol...so um there was this hole... hahhaha noooo a hole in one of the trees.... so my curious a$$ goes reaching into it with a stick because I saw this camera canister thing wrapped up all funny. I grab it with sticks and pull it out and now i want to open the canister. At this point i'm thinking and hoping to find a million dollars wrapped up in a kodak film canister... hahah at the same time im not wanting some nasty spider or blood or something crazy to fall out. Instead, after peeling off the cap with two sticks (took me 10 minutes) this is what falls out:
what da???? Papers???!!! lolz.... where's da reefa?!!! hahhahahahhah so um, maybe my secret place isn't so secret???? daaaaaaaaaaaamn bamboozled again. lol.
Otays, thas enough of my adventures for this week. Anyways, I plan to buy more lenses - actually writing all this off as a business expense, will have a company name registered this week. I'm contemplating on becoming an underwater photographer. Ms. Kathy Clark is a full time Nature Photographer and she said she makes as much as she did as HR at a hospital when she worked in the corporate world...finally she was able to leave and do her passion full time. THAT is what i want! just in the water.. i am pisces.. i need to go back to my realm dammit! hahah cuz im a mermaid. hahhahahahhah omg ur retarded. yah anyways so my next endeavor is to get scuba certified sometime next month!! ooooo i can't wait!! sharks aint ready. lol hmm.. man thats not funny...

Jul 13, 2008

Swarmin around town..

lol. It's actually fun riding around Houston, although i do it at 35-40mph... the bike can go 60 but my killa bee wings are not fully developed... sooooo keepin it slow. Last Friday was the first time I drove it to work.. turns out im only 8 miles away, so why does it take me 30 minutes in my car???? that's annoying. Cool part is that I was still on full tank hahahhaha ... i went to the gas station to fill up.. i told the cashier $7 on #3 ... well i go to fill up and it stops at $3.84... yesssss! ha! so i screw the gas cap back on, huge smile on my face, walk back into the convenient store and i'm all "i need my change back.." hahahhahahah luv it!! never would those words be uttered while filling up da gator.

hmm a little calculation... i get 100 miles per gallon, 8 miles of gas to work... 40 miles a week... so yah i gotta shell out a whoppin $3.84 about every two weeks roughly... whoooot! hehheh so when i drove up to work, next thing i know everyone wanted to ride it.. and they did... pretty soon i'm gonna have a whole troop of power rangers riding at my side!! u think im kidding, but im not! they all want to get one! hahahha and on the road i was surprised to notice that all the houston drivers are somewhat respectful of me.. they dont ride to close to me, and i've yet to get honked at... although i do get tons of people waving and smiling at me.. hahahha i was at this one stop light and this guy was in a drop top convertible and he was all "you go girl!" lolz!! omg embarassing. what am i? some child prodigy or poster child for scooters? yesss i would luv to see that billboard around houston. hahhahah bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!! my stuuuupid buddy told me that i should ride around with that bee theme playing... hahahha messed up.

anyways.. i can't wait to move already. then i will be 5 blocks from work... lol gas will pretty much be non existent issue for me. niiiicely played. AND i will have a nice swimming pool yay yay yay! i think this time i will hire movers to take care of all my boxes. the idea of up and down three flights of stairs.. no. i think i been working out hard enough lately, that would b overkill. which by the way.. im back to training with rafael my original trainer. doing core workouts... i been real good lately.. the last time most people saw me i was about 160 pounds.. im down to 148 now... pretty crazy how fast i dropped it. its called counting calories and running 3 miles twice a week. yups. im actually training for the aramco half marathon that will be in january... eeek... i can do 5 miles... damn i dunno about 13... and no ipods allow... yah so thats my goal...

Other updates - just been messing around with the whole SLR camera and taking nice pics... i havent really posted much... actually i have a trip planned to return to cancun in October - main reason being i honestly want bad ass pics of the Mayan pyramids that I was not able to get the first time around. Cancun was my best trip ever, ironically considering how i got there in the first place. This time it will be with all the girls i pretty much know which is under 12 lolz... so that should be fun.

Oh let me show you my crazy skills at work

Now that's a comeback

The strange part - I remember Robert Downey Sr. first before Jr. ... yah not sure why that is.. I remember Sr. being on some talk show which i would watch all the time and I cannot remember the name. Anyhow, this blog is concentrated on Robert Downey, Jr. which I remember from that movie Weird Science. He was a pretty big deal in the 80's (Im not a huge fan of that decade) and in the early nineties.
Then somewhere between 1996-2004....he completely fell of his path. Or maybe it was his path, it was definately his trials. From wikipedia:

1996 until 2001 Downey was arrested numerous times on drug-related charges and went several times through drug treatment programs unsuccessfully, explaining in 1999 to a judge: "It's like I have a loaded gun in my mouth and my finger's on the trigger, and I like the taste of the gunmetal". He also explained his relapses by claiming to be addicted to drugs since the age of eight, In April 1996 Downey was arrested for possession of heroin, cocaine and an unloaded .357-caliber Magnum, while he was speeding downSunset Boulevard. A month later, when on parole, he trespassed into a neighbor's home while under the influence of a controlled substance, falling asleep in one of the beds. He was sentenced to three years of probation and required to undergo mandatory drug testing. In 1997 he missed one of the court-ordered drug tests and had to spend four months in the Los Angeles County jail. The same happened in 1999, only this time he had to spend nearly a year in a state prison in Corcoran,California when he was released on $5,000 bail. For his 1999 defense, Downey's lawyer assembled the same team of lawyers that successfully defended O. J. Simpson during his criminal trial for murder.

Long list of trials, eh? How ironic that Hollywood did not toss him out and to the side as trash. Even when he came out from jail, it was only a week until they gave him a role on Sex and the City. Look at him now, you can tell just from his appearance the change he has made, i've notice him smile more than ever and the roles he has taken on have definately showcased his talent: Iron Man, Incredible Hulk, Tropic Thunder those are just recent titles... he's having fun now, im really in awe with him because that is a tremendous come back. I think his talent is under appreciated. If Downey did not stray, I'd make the stance to say that he would definately be on the same level that Johnny Depp has achieved, definately. Hey they were both 80's kids!

I really pray he continues because its been a long time coming for him. He attributes his success to family, yoga, meditation and therapy..All that self inflicting suffering, its a real ugly situation to hear about, much less go through.
