Shakalaka Baby!

Yay I went to the Hobby Center this weekend!! I likes. I saw the production Bombay Dreams. It's been here for about two weeks maybe..not sure but I caught it on the last day. I mean the commercials on tv for the show were awesome so i thought why da hell not. So my review?? Super cute =) Too bad you can't go see it now since they are back on tour but maybe for next time. They sang alot of the famous indian songs and its about a guy who is a tour guide in the slums of bombay and is saving up money to save his little city from being demolished. A lawyer comes to save the city which in reality he's the one demolishing the place but you don't find that out until the end. The lawyer has a fiance who later falls in love with the "slum boy". The slum boy becomes a movie star and his gay crossdressing best friend follows him there. In the end, guy saves his village, marries the lawyer's fiance and the gay cross dresser gets shot. hahahhahah sound interesting enough? It was very colorful and well performed..i enjoyed it. The cross dressing indian guys did throw me out of whack for awhile but it added humor to the play. If you get a chance ...catch it the next time it comes into town =)
