Unexpected Visitor

Now this is really random. Sunday I was on my way to my Grandma's house when i decided to go grab lunch first at Gold Ribbon. Its a filipino restaurant on Kirby and Holcombe. If u know filipinos then u know that everyone knows everyone else. hahahh so me going to lunch by myself is not so much a big deal..its like eating at home. Anyways, twice weird things have happened to me there. U know before every meal i say grace...one time i had a priest come up to me after I had finished... he said that he rarely sees anyone do that these days.... which is kinda cool yet then again its not something i look for compliments on.. i'm grateful for what i have because i've traveled and seen people without food and who are struggling. i'm sure u understand me on that.
So this time... i was just chillin there and eating when this lady comes and sits at my table. She asks me my name, age, if i'm Filipino, etc, etc. hahhah awww she was a super sweet old lady..and so when i told her i was half filipino on my mom's side she asked about my dad. I said he was mexican-american and then she asked how my parents met. I said they met in the Philippines and she goes "How did the Mexican get over there?" <-----LMAO!!!! haaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahhah i had to start laughing and she was laughing the second she asked it cuz she realized that it came out the wrong way. she goes "oh no i didnt mean to say it rude like that" hahahhahha didnt bother me any, i got a good laugh. So of course she asks me if i'm a nurse right? lolz... yah sorry to disappoint filipinos across america but i'm a computer geek. We talked about her travels to Spain which really makes me want to visit and we talked about her family. Real nice conversation. She told me i was really tall....then again..she was really short lol...then she asked why i was single at 28. Gawd!!!! i said "i'm just enjoying life and people aren't what they used to be" and i guess that made sense to her cuz she went off on people's morals. lolz. she goes "when i had wings i made it a point to meet new people everyday" lolz.... wings..... guess they get tied back when u get married or somethin. lolz. Her name was Maria by the way. I gave her a business card..she works for the City of Houston and said she would come by to visit. She use to be an ESL teacher as well. aww but it was nice meeting her. ... yah afterwards I went to my Grandma's place. I saw all my cousins and we just Bar B Q'd and some played the guitar. Damn i need to get a keyboard, i use to play for them lolz. The rest of them played Poker... so I chilled until 9pm and then went to 702 to chill with Oliver until midnight. Damn with these gas prices i need to just be staying at home!!! ... tragedy....
