yIkes!

I'm literally living in my work office. my boss came to get me out of my apartment and now i'm at work which is 5 blocks away and we are running on a generator. There is no AC though and at my apartments I am without water and electricity. My dad and are doing fine, thanks to God. Hope all is well with friends and family. These are pictures outside my apartment and in my neighborhood. The bayou has risen a good 20 feet so just imagine how much water came through. normally if you look at the bayou from that viewpoint you would be scared of heights because the bottom would be waaaaaay lower than what it looks right now. I have no way out of this area since all the streets are flooded. my boss found a shortcut through a neighborhood to get to rice village from here so I will follow him in awhile to look for some food across town.

I'm at i-10 and TC Jester, the exact spot where the eye passed through upon landfall. My apartment was shaking like an earthquake and it caused a 4 building fire alarm to start blaring for about one and a half hours. My neighbors have all been helping each other which is exactly what seperates Houstonians from the rest of America. You will not found this kind of southern hospitality anywhere in the U.S.A.

Update on my killa bee scooter... again my neighbor let me put it in his garage so it is safe and sound! and zero my puppy is safe as well =) My mom and Richard are in Arkansas where they got the aftermath and tornados but are doing fine and Ernie is here fine as well.

ok this picture below i found on the internet to see if i could find you a before shot of White Oak bayou... this is what it is SUPPOSE to look like and you can see in my picture above of the bayou that it totally overflowed the cement and the hilly grass side and at one point was out on the streets but receded back into the bayou

This is great news in a bad situation. I stayed up all night watching the weather channel and thinking about you all. Glad to see my prayers were answered. By the way Chris is in town we had lunch with Yvonne and the baby. They lost power also and should be here for another day or so. How is your fathers side of the family? Were you able to get in contact with them? FYI update your camera date foo.

glad to hear you are doing well. that's pretty damn cool of your work to do that! Anyway, i've been staying at my bro's b/c our apartment suffered a little damage. roof damage caused leaking into the bedroom. walls, ceiling and floors wet but our stuff is ok. Toni can't stay b/c they have to test for mold. So that's why we've been at my brothers... even though we have electricity and water. crazy.
